On Friday morning, fans finally got to see the third Marvel Netflix series Luke Cage, with the first season currently streaming. Today we have a new song from the Luke Cage soundtrack, "Bulletproof Love" by Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad, featuring Method Man. The full song can be heard in its entirety in the video below, or you can also buy the track on iTunes for $1.29.

The song debuted on Marvel Entertainment's YouTube, along with its release on iTunes. Method Man actually appears in the Netflix series as himself, which establishes the rapper/actor within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We don't know for sure if there are any plans to bring back Method Man in subsequent seasons, or in future Marvel movies and/or TV shows.

The series is the third in the Marvel Netflix lineup, following the releases of Daredevil and Jessica Jones, leading up to the future release of Iron Fist, which is currently in production, and ultimately, The Defenders. Given Luke Cage and Iron Fist's connection in the comics as "Heroes for Hire," where they would do good deeds for the public for a price, it's possible that Power Man could surface in the Iron Fist show, but we don't know for sure. Netflix hasn't announced when production will begin on The Defenders quite yet.

Luke Cage, also known as Power Man, gained his abilities from a sabotaged experiment that left him with superhuman strength, and unbreakable skin. He is attempting to rebuild his life in New York City. Ultimately, he gets pulled into conflict, all resulting from the past he is trying to bury. As was teased in Jessica Jones, the two are love interests for one another in the comic book world as well, so it's certainly possible that Krysten Ritter could make a cameo. It was recently confirmed that, while Jessica Jones was renewed, that show's second season will come after The Defenders, although a specific release date has not been released.

Luke Cage features a very promising, star-studded cast including fan-favorite Mike Colter (Luke Cage), Alfre Woodard (Mariah Dillard), Mahershala Ali (Cornell Stokes), Theo Rossi (Alvarez), Simone Missick (Misty Knight), and Frank Whaley (Detective Scarfe). [Cheo Hodari Coker} serves as executive producer and showrunner. Check out the new song from Luke Cage below.
