Back in March, Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof hinted that there will eventually be a reboot of the series, although he doesn't think the original creative team, such as J.J. Abrams and Carlton Cuse, will be involved. During a new interview with Digital Spy, Carlton Cuse echoed Damon Lindelof's comments, revealing that the show made so much money for Disney that a new version of the original story will happen some day.

Here's what Carlton Cuse had to say, comparing the series to C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia books.

"Disney owns the franchise, it made them a lot of money, it's hard to imagine it will just sit there idly forever. Damon (Lindelof) and I told our story in that world and I assume someone will come along, hopefully having been inspired by our story, or our version of the story, and want to tell their own story. It's like the Narnia chronicles. There are seven books, they were all written by C.S. Lewis, but they all visit Narnia at different times and different configurations and different ways. Someone is going to come up with a way to tell another Lost story. I think it's inevitable. I don't know what it is or how it would work, but I can't imagine something else won't be done with the franchise."

ABC launched the revolutionary series Lost 10 years ago this fall, which had just as many fans as it did detractors, especially when it comes to the series finale that aired four and a half years ago. Love it or hate it, Lost changed the way many viewers thought about network television, and paved the way for more high-concept shows to get their shot on one of the Big Four networks.

Lost was set over a sizable chunk of time, between the 1970s and present day, so it's possible that a new reboot could take place either before the 1970s, or sometime far into the future.
