Production is in full swing on the new episodes of Arrested Development, debuting sometime next year exclusively on Netflix. Today, we have word that Liza Minnelli will return as Lucille Austero.

The actress-singer appeared in 10 episodes of the hit comedy during its original run from 2003 to 2005 on Fox, as the girlfriend of Tony Hale's Buster Bluth. The character often clashed with Jessica Walter's Lucille Bluth, and also suffered from vertigo. It isn't known how many episodes she will appear in, although it is said the actress flew into L.A. over the weekend to shoot her scenes.

We reported last week that Henry Winkler is returning as Barry Zuckerhorn in an undetermined amount of episodes. We also reported in August that Mad Men star John Slattery is playing a mysterious new character.

It hasn't been announced yet when exactly Arrested Development Season 4 will debut on Netflix.
