Last month, Netflix unveiled the first trailer for the highly-anticipated series Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, which offered our first look at Lemony Snicket himself, played by Patrick Warburton. Today we have another new trailer that offers our first official look at Count Olaf, played by Neil Patrick Harris. We also have new photos of this iconic character to get fans ready for the January debut of this series.

Back in April, we got our first look at Count Olaf through photos taken from the Vancouver set, but this video also gives us a brief glimpse at Malina Weissman's Violet Baudelaire and Louis Hynes' Klaus Baudelaire. Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events premieres worldwide on Friday, January 13, 2017 only on Netflix. We'll certainly be treated to new footage from this upcoming series between now and then.

Based on the internationally best-selling series of books by Lemony Snicket (aka Daniel Handler) and starring Emmy and Tony Award winner Neil Patrick Harris, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events recounts the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans -- Violet, Klaus, and Sunny - whose evil guardian Count Olaf (Harris) will stop at nothing to get his hands on their inheritance. The siblings must outsmart Olaf at every turn, foiling his many devious plans and disguises, in order to discover clues to their parents' mysterious death. The eight-episode series is a Netflix original production, executive produced by Emmy Award winner Barry Sonnenfeld and Daniel Handler, and also stars Patrick Warburton (Lemony Snicket), Joan Cusack (Justice Strauss), Malina Weissman (Violet Baudelaire) and Louis Hynes (Klaus Baudelaire).

The Lemony Snicket's a Series of Unfortunate Events TV show is being produced in association with Paramount TV and Netflix. Daniel Handler, the author of the novel series who writes under the pen name Lemony Snicket, is set to executive produce. The 2004 movie based on Daniel Handler's novel series starred Jim Carrey as Count Olaf, taking in $118.6 million domestically and $209 million worldwide from a $140 million budget. The movie also starred Liam Aiken, Emily Browning, Kara Hoffman, Shelby Hoffman, Jude Law, Timothy Spall, Catherine O'Hara, Billy Connolly and Meryl Streep.

With just a few months left until this Netflix series arrives, we'll certainly be seeing more footage from this highly-anticipated show. It remains to be seen if the show is successful enough to warrant a second season, which could very well delve deeper into Daniel Handler's novel series.
