That '70s Show star Laura Prepon has signed on for the upcoming Netflix series Orange Is the New Black, from Weeds creator Jenji Kohan.

Taylor Schilling stars in the series as Piper, a Brooklyn woman who is sent to a federal penitentiary because of her decade-long relationship with a drug runner in college. Laura Prepon will play the aforementioned ex-girlfriend Alex.

The series was given a 13-episode order from Netflix, which is expanding its original programming. The online streaming giant will debut new episodes of Arrested Development next year, along with the original series House of Cards from David Fincher and Kevin Spacey, and Eli Roth's Hemlock Grove.

Laura Prepon most recently starred on the short-lived series Are You There, Chelsea? on NBC. It isn't known when Orange Is the New Black will debut on Netflix as of yet.
