'Here's to the fools that dream!' The magical musical La La Land soars towards a heightened version of Los Angeles that will have you nostalgic for the colorful comedies of the 50s and 60s. Only this one is set firmly in a modern day Los Angeles. The second La La Land trailer has arrived, which debuts the new song Audition, performed by none other than star Emma Stone herself.

We also have new 'cover art' for La La Land, which is basically a movie poster that looks like the cover of an old soundtrack album from a bygone era. It features stars Emma Sone and Ryan Gosling walking through stage doors into a dreamy blue like state of consciousness. The new single Audition will be available later this fall, but we don't have a drop date at this time.

Written and directed by Academy Award nominee Damien Chazelle, La La Land tells the story of Mia (Emma Stone), an aspiring actress, and Sebastian (Ryan Gosling), a dedicated jazz musician, who are struggling to make ends meet in a city known for crushing hopes and breaking hearts. Set in today's Los Angeles, this original musical about everyday life explores the joy and pain of pursuing your dreams.

La La Land also stars John Legend, Rosemarie DeWitt, Finn Wittrock, Callie Hernandez, Sonoya Mizuno, Jessica Rothe, Tom Everett Scott and Josh Pence. The first trailer featured the new song City of Stars, which was performed by Ryan Gosling. That original tune is currently available on iTunes.

La La Land has been selected to open the Venice Film Festival later this month. Some speculate that this will be one of Oscars' biggest contenders this awards season. Especially in the original song category. La La Land marks the second feature for writer and director Damien Chazelle following his breakout 2014 drama Whiplash. You can watch Emma Stone set off on her fateful audition in this latest sneak peek courtesy of Lionsgate. Be mindful, it could just break your heart.
