Exactly one month ago today, Justice League star Ben Affleck gave fans quite the surprise by posting a brief video that clearly showed the iconic character Deathstroke on the set. Joe Manganiello was cast a few weeks later, but that report revealed he will be the main villain in Ben Affleck's stand alone Batman reboot, with no official word that he was appearing in Justice League. But now we have yet another hint. Director Zack Snyder sent out a cryptic set photo today, which appears to have a hidden Deathstroke message.

The director sent out a photo on Twitter, where he's seen wearing Batman's gauntlet, while doing some storyboarding work on a tablet. Another Twitter user dubbed "DC Extended Universe" enhanced the photo which reveals that the director may in fact have been working on a scene with Deathstroke. We still haven't gotten any iron-clad confirmation about whether or not Deathstroke will appear in the movie, but with both Ben Affleck and Zack Snyder dropping some not-so-subtle hints, don't be surprised if he turns up when Justice League debuts next fall.

It isn't known if Joe Manganiello has been present on the set, or if that was actually him in costume when Ben Affleck sent out that cryptic video. Since he will be the primary villain in the Batman reboot, it certainly does make sense to introduce him in Justice League, before the Batman movie hits theaters, which still doesn't have a release date in place. No plot details have surfaced for the reboot yet, but there have been reports that several of the primary Batman villains from the DC Comics will be featured.

Aside from Joe Manganiello, no other cast members have been announced for the Batman reboot, which Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes teased earlier this week would be released in roughly a year and a half, in the spring of 2018. Ben Affleck is starring and directing from a script he co-wrote with DC Films chief Geoff Johns, although no production schedule or release date has been confirmed. It has been rumored that the Batman reboot would take the October 5, 2018 release date already set aside by Warner Bros., but that hasn't been set in stone either.

Warner Bros. has set a November 17, 2017 release date for Justice League. This superhero ensemble also stars Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, Jason Momoa, who were all featured in this spring's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
