Ever since the Season 5 finale of Game of Thrones, there has been a burning question on many fans' minds: is Jon Snow (Kit Harington) really dead? The producers have claimed that he is in fact dead, but, with a few characters on the show possessing the powers of resurrection, like Carice van Houten's Melissandre, many are wondering how long the beloved Jon Snow may actually be dead for. Today we have a new report from Watchers On the Wall, which claims that their "spies" in Northern Ireland have spotted Kit Harington on the set, "participating" in the filming.

You may recall that, back in July, Kit Harington was spotted arriving in Belfast, Ireland, one of several locations that Game of Thrones films in. While it isn't known what the actor's "participation" was on the set, it seems to be yet another indication that Jon Snow will be brought back to life. The character was killed off in George R.R. Martin's fifth book, A Dance With Dragons, but the author has hinted in the past that Jon Snow isn't actually dead. We don't know for sure, though, since he still hasn't published his long-awaited sixth book, The Winds of Winter. Barring a publishing miracle, Game of Thrones Season 6 will be the first season to debut before the latest book has arrived.

Fans who are caught up with the books are now just as clueless as to what will happen this season as those who have only watched the hit TV series. The show broke its tradition of revealing new characters at Comic-Con, like they normally do, but we've already learned about a few new cast members who will be introduced in Westeros this season. Ian McShane has come aboard in an unspecified role, Pilou Asbæk has been rumored to be playing Euron Greyjoy, the uncle of Alfie Allen's Theon Greyjoy, Max von Sydow as the Three-Eyed Raven and Richard E. Grant was cast this week for an unknown role. Today we have word of another casting addition, The Babadook star Essie Davis.

The Australian actress will reportedly play a Leading Actress in a theater troupe, a character whose name has not been revealed yet. A casting breakdown from May described the Leading Actress as elegant, fun and charismatic, who apparently is a big fan of drinking rum. It was also revealed that Richard E. Grant is playing this theater company's lead actor, who, "specializes in portraying drunken aristocrats." This travelling theater company is putting on a play entitled The Bloody Hand, which depicts several notable Westeros characters such as Ned Stark and Cersei Lannister, who Essie Davis' "Lead Actress" character portrays in this play-within-the show.

While we wait for more details, we a photo from the set which give us our first look at Essie Davis as this Lead Actress. Hopefully we'll find out more details about her character, and the fate of Jon Snow soon, but until then, check out the image below.
