As many devout fans of Seinfeld likely know, the famous Manhattan eatery Tom's Restaurant was used as the exterior for Monk's, the diner where Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld), Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), George (Jason Alexander) and Kramer (Michael Richards) frequently hung out. Despite the exterior of the building being used for establishing shots, the show was actually shot in Los Angeles. Earlier this week, Jerry Seinfeld and Jason Alexander were spotted outside of Tom's Restaurant, which may be the only known photos of the actors actually outside the real establishment. Their reunion appears to be for an episode of Jerry Seinfeld's web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. Series co-creator Larry David was also spotted leaving the restaurant in a brief video that you can check out as well.

The restaurant was closed for a few hours, with all of the shades drawn and electrical cables running into the establishment, where camera crews were hidden away inside. There is also this photo of a crate that is labeled "Comedians," which likely indicates that this reunion is, indeed, for an upcoming episode of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, along with another photo of the restaurant's exterior that show the cables alongside the building. There is also speculation that the shoot could be for a Super Bowl commercial, but nothing has been confirmed.
