It was just the other day that we passed along the weak news that the classic NBC mockumentary/sitcom The Office starring Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, and Jenna Fischer will be leaving Netflix in 2021. And today we have even more The Office news for you guys as it looks like the cast and crew of FXX's long-running comedy series It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia including Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day, and Danny DeVito is filming at the NBC sitcom's original shooting location.

This news comes to us via It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia creator and star Ronald McDonald himself, Rob McElhenney over on Instagram. The actor just posted a rather funny video of himself and co-stars Charlie Day (Pacific Rim) and Danny DeVito (One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest) hanging out in their trailers outside the building we have all come to know and love as the location of The Office's fictional paper company Dunder Mifflin.

Now I know what you're asking, 'Is the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia crew just hanging out and shooting there for no reason?' Doubtful. I'm thinking they are planning a full-on The Office parody episode coming up in the new season, but I must admit that this is all speculation at this time. But come on. All the signs are there, am I right? I leave that up to you to decide in the end. You can go ahead and give McElhenney's Instagram video a look-see for yourself below.

On a funny side note, Rob McElhenney seems to be addressing his video to The Office star Steve Carell specifically. He even goes into his character Mac a bit here and there and makes sure to call out Carell several times, pointing out that while Steve's show got canceled, McElhenney's series is still going strong. Got to love the guy. And speaking of which, when It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia was renewed for a thirteenth and fourteenth season back in April 2016, the series tied with The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet as the longest-running live-action sitcom in American television history. At least, you know, in terms of the number of seasons. Impressive, no?

Whatever is going on behind the scenes of the new season, remember that the fourteenth season of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is currently filming and will be hitting FXX this September. As mentioned above, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia was created by Rob McElhenney and developed by McElhenney along with Glenn Howerton. The cast includes McElhenney as Mac and Howerton as Dennis Reynolds, along with Fist Fight and Horrible Bosses star Charlie Day as Charlie Kelly, Kaitlin Olson (The Mick) as Dee Reynolds, and Batman Returns and Throw Momma from the Train actor Danny DeVito as Frank Reynolds.

As of the current count, the comedy series has aired 144 episodes over 13 seasons. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season Fourteen will be hitting FXX on September 25, 2019. This story comes to us via It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia creator and starRob McElhenney over on Instagram.
