Last month, Luke Cage star Mike Colter teased that the studio had already cast Danny Rand in their fourth Netflix series Iron Fist, although he wouldn't reveal the identity of the actor. There have been rumors in the past that Ryan Phillippe will portray the title character in this upcoming series, but that was never confirmed, as we continue to wait for any official news. A new rumor has surfaced today from The Hashtag Show which claims that Game of Thrones star Finn Jones may be playing Danny Rand.

While we'll have to wait and see if Marvel confirms this news in the near future, the site speculates that Finn Jones' absence on social media as of late could be a hint regarding his casting. Ever since the late-January story broke that the studio has cast Iron Fist, the actor has only tweeted twice, although he was quite active on his Twitter page throughout January. Naturally, this doesn't necessarily confirm anything, but hopefully Marvel and Netflix will officially announce Danny Rand soon.

The series will center on Danny Rand, who returns to New York City after being missing for years. He takes a stand and fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist. At one point, it was believed that Marvel was seeking out an Asian-American for the role, but it has sine been revealed that a white male will play the part.

Scott Buck (Dexter) signed on to serve as showrunner and executive producer back in December, and it's believed that Jessica Jones writer Scott Reynolds has joined the writing staff as well. The studio is also casting other roles such as Dylan Kendall, who could be either Danny Rand or a younger version of his father, and Harry Marshall, a Caucasian male between the ages of 45 and 50. There have also been rumors that Carrie-Anne Moss will reprise her role as Jeryn Hogarth from Jessica Jones.

Finn Jones is best known for portraying Loras Tyrell on HBO's Game of Thrones, which returns for its sixth season on Sunday, April 24. He has also starred in movies such as 2014's Sleeping Beauty and Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines, along with guest starring spots on shows such as Hollyoaks and Life in Squares. Do you think he's the right choice to play Iron Fist?
