In just a few short days, the cast of Iron Fist will descend upon New York Comic Con with a Q&A panel on Saturday, October 8 at 6:30 PM at the Javits Center. Earlier today, we showed you a variant comic book cover featuring an artistic rendition of Finn Jones as Danny Rand. As we get ready for the exciting NYCC panel, Marvel has given fans a new treat, a motion poster that shows Danny in action. Hopefully we'll get to see much more of this beloved character in action with the first footage that will most likely be showcased during NYCC.

The series is set fifteen years after Danny Rand (Finn Jones) was presumed dead in a plane crash, when mysteriously returns to New York City determined to reclaim his birthright and family company. However, when a long-destined enemy rises in New York, this living weapon is forced to choose between his family's legacy and his duties as the Iron Fist. Iron Fist has been given March 17, 2017 premiere date, with the new season available at 12:01am PT on that date, in all territories where Netflix is available.

Iron Fist is the fourth of Marvel's Netflix original series, following Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage which debuted this past weekend. All of these shows are leading up to the teaming of the main characters in The Defenders miniseries on Netflix. The drama will premiere with thirteen (13) one-hour episodes. Billionaire Danny Rand (Finn Jones) must fight against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.

Carrie-Anne Moss will be reprising her role from Jessica Jones as lawyer Jeri Hogarth, who will be giving Danny Rand a helping hand as he returns to New York. The Iron Fist cast also includes Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, David Wenham as Harold Meachum, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum and Tom Pelphrey as Ward Meachum. Scott Buck serves as executive producer and showrunner of Iron Fist, with Jeph Loeb also serving as executive producer. Iron Fist is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios for Netflix.

This summer, Jeph Loeb revealed in an interview that Simone Missick's Luke Cage character Misty Knight was set to appear in Iron Fist, but that was later corrected to Luke Cage. There is also speculation that she could get her own spin-off, especially since Marvel and Netflix have confirmed that The Punisherspin-off will debut in 2017. Take a look at this new Iron Fist motion poster courtesy of Marvel as we wait for the new trailer debuting at NYCC.
