We reported back in August that Kate Winslet signed on to a new mini-series and now it has officially found a network home. According to The Hollywood Reporter, HBO has picked up Winslet's mini-series Mildred Pierce.

Todd Haynes is directing from a script he co-wrote with Jon Raymond, which focuses on Pierce (Winslet), a proud single mother trying to connect with her daughter during the Great Depression in Los Angeles.

It was said that casting for the other roles has already started and production is scheduled to begin in New York City this April.
