Last month, with more than seven months until The Strain premieres on FX, the network released a bizarre trailer, although it didn't contain any actually footage from the show. Today, we have the first two photos from this adaptation of Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan's novel series, featuring Corey Stoll as Dr. Ephraim Goodweather. Fans who are familiar with the actor from Law & Order: Los Angeles or House of Cards may not recognize him right away, since he isn't sporting his traditional bald look, although he did have a full head of hair in 2011's Midnight in Paris. The show, debuting on FX in July, follows Goodweather, who leads a Center for Disease Control Canary Team investigating a strange viral outbreak in New York City, which has the same traits as an ancient strain of vampirism.
