Fox's Gotham has already announced a number of new characters from the DC Comics who will be appearing in future episodes, such as Victor Zsasz, Harvey Dent and Leslie Thompkins. During an appearance at Stan Lee's Comickaze convention in Los Angeles this weekend, executive producer Danny Cannon revealed that they are bringing the villainous Scarecrow to the Fox series.

While it isn't known exactly when Scarecrow may turn up, Danny Cannon revealed they're currently working on his story which will likely debut during the second half of Season 1.

"We're breaking the story now."

He added that Scarecrow will be introduced as a child before he becomes Scarecrow, with his villainous roots actually being passed down from his father, which will create a future enemy for Batman while giving James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) a new adversary on the show.

It remains to be seen if Scarecrow will go by the name Jonathan Crane, like the DC Comics and Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight trilogy, who was played by Cillian Murphy.
