Fox's Gotham wrapped up its successful first season earlier this month, and now the long wait begins for Gotham Season 2. All we know about the second season thus far is that Morena Baccarin (Dr. Leslie Thompkins) was promoted to a series regular, but today we have details on two new villains that will be emerging. Fox is currently casting for these nefarious characters, both of which will have roots in DC Comics.

The first enemy is a male, described as "intelligent, cultured and highly articulate," and also, "extremely attractive, both seductive and threatening." The second mystery character is a female in her mid to late 20s, described as "a sexy knock-out." While these descriptions are certainly vague, at least we know they both are from the original DC comics, and aren't created specifically for the series, like Jada Pinkett Smith's Fish Mooney.

One of the more memorable episodes was "The Blind Fortune Teller", where fans got their first glimpse at The Joker, played by Cameron Monaghan. It remains to be seen whether or not fans will get to see The Joker again next season, but series creator Bruno Heller revealed in February that it may be another seven or eight years before fans see the true incarnation of The Joker, teasing that they have a "long game plan" with an origin story that starts in "The Blind Fortune Teller". As for who the new villains may be, do you have any theories? Let us know who you think these villainous characters are, as we continue the long wait for Gotham Season 2, debuting this fall on Fox.
