The Simpsons have given fans a number of unique couch gags in Season 25, from their tribute to animation legend Hayao Miyazaki in January, to the gag inspired by The Triplets Of Belleville in March to this month'sMad Men parody. Fox has debuted the couch gag for this week's episode, "What to Expect When Bart's Expecting, airing Sunday, April 27th, which is an homage to Acme Filmworks. Michal Socha, who made the short film Chick, which this gag is inspired by, directed this unique look inside Homer Simpson's brain. The Simpsons showrunner and executive producer Al Jean had this to say about the new video in a brief statement.

"Take a voyage through Homer Simpson's body while your boss thinks you're working."

Acme Filmworks' Ron Diamond also issued a statement about creating this couch gag.

"We had a blast creating this couch gag. It epitomizes Acme's success in producing unexpected animation by independent animators who are pushing the creative boundaries of ads, TV and film."
