Actress Gwyneth Paltrow will be joining the cast of the hit Fox series Glee this season, according to E! Online.

The site reports Gwyneth Paltrow will be portraying a new substitute teacher who fills in for Matthew Morrison's Will Schuester, taking over the glee club at McKinley High. Schuester will fall for Gwyneth Paltrow's character, which complicates matters with Jayma Mays' Emma even more than before.

Gwyneth Paltrow will be singing and dancing through a two-episode arc, which will air in November. Series creator Ryan Murphy wrote the character specifically for Gwyneth Paltrow and he will direct her first episode, which starts shooting in two weeks.
