Last week, Entertainment Weekly debuted their new magazine covers featuring the female stars of Game of Thrones, such as Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth) and Natalie Dormer (Margaery Tyrell). As we get closer and closer to the April 24 debut of Season 6, we still haven't been given too many details regarding the story, but Entertainment Weekly recently spoke with Sophie Turner. Here's what the actress had to say below, teasing that this will be Sansa's biggest season yet.

"I've had more people saying, 'You're my favorite character' than ever before, which is amazing, because I used to get 'You're my least favorite character.' She's definitely got a fan base now, and they're rallying behind her. Finally people see Sansa how I see her. This is the season I'm most excited for. Sansa's coming into her own and standing up for herself."

We last saw Sansa in the Season 5 finale, finally escaping the clutches of her evil husband Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon), and fleeing Winterfell with her longtime friend Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen). While we've seen shots of her in the new trailers, we don't know anything about where Sansa and Theon may be heading to. Regardless of where her character lands, showrunner D.B. Weiss praised the actress' performance this season.

"Sophie really delivers this season. She's an extremely phenomenal actor, and this year she gets to go to places she's never gone."

Writer-producer Bryan Cogman added that he's "very excited" about Sansa's story, and that she thinks Sophie Turner, "is doing the best work she's ever done in Season 6." While we don't know if they will reunite or not, it's worth noting that Sansa's brother Bran Stark is returning this year, after sitting out all of Season 5 because his story was caught up to the George R.R. Martin books. What do you think will happen to Sansa in Game of Thrones this season?
