As many of you know, Game of Thrones will bring its epic Season 5 to a close this Sunday. Mother's Mercy will no doubt be a game changer. But according to VFX supervisor Joe Bauer, we haven't seen anything yet. Along with prosthetics supervisor Barrie Gower, the pair discussed just how big thing are going to get in Game of Thrones Season 6. But be warned, there are SPOILERS ahead.

As evident in the acclaimed and already legendary massacre from episode Hardhome to the Drogon rescue scene in last Sunday's episode The Dance of Dragons, it's become quite clear that this is a show that is just going to keep getting bigger and bigger. Joe Bauer doesn't dispute that, and reveals that next year, the dragons are going to be colossal in size:

"Between Season 3 and Season 5, our shot count doubled. [There will be] other environments that we haven't seen people in before. The dragons will again be double in size. When the dragons were small, we had little foam rubber models of each dragon and we could carry them on and off of the set and it was no big deal. Last year, the best we could do was a head and this year it's going to be a finger nail or something, I'm not really sure."

Barrie Gower was a little more reserved in discussing some of the things fans will get to see in Season 6. But it's sure to be epic, whatever is planned. About the next batch of new episodes, he explains:

"Benioff and Weiss, when they write the outline each year, for last two years, we got to this one point and we read this one gag and thought 'Oh my God, how the hell are we going to do that? But this is going to be incredible!' And then it got pulled and we didn't do it in Season 4. And then, lo and behold, in Season 5 there it was again. And it's pulled again! But now, in Season 6, it looks like we're going to do it. Fingers crossed they won't chicken out."

It's not quite clear which moment Barrie Gower may be talking about. But with Season 5 not even closed yet, it sounds like its already a good time to start getting excited about Season 6. Even though we won't get to see the first footage until at least December. While we await Sunday's rousing climax, why not take a look at Daenerys' escape from last weekend.
