"<i>Louie</i> gets a June debut It seems that comedian Louis C.K.'s new series will be delayed a few more months, although it should be a beneficial delay. Variety is reporting that FX's new sitcom Louie will debut in June instead of its planned April 1 launch.

The move was made so the network could pair the new sitcom with the network's hit series Rescue Me. While the network still hasn't decided on exact premiere dates for both shows, it was said that they will have Rescue Me air at 10 PM with Louie following at 11 PM. The network employed a similar strategy when it aired the first season of its hit comedy It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia at the 11 PM slot after Rescue Me.

"Even though it is a drama, Rescue Me has always been regarded as one of the funniest shows on television and it will provide an outstanding, compatible lead-in for Louie," said FX Networks president John Landgraf.

The semi-scripted Louie, which received a 13-episode order, will follow the exploits of Louis C.K. as he tries to balance his stand-up career with raising his two daughters after his divorce.
