Just weeks after Netflix fired Fuller House creator Jeff Franklin over allegations of inappropriate behavior, the streaming service has found his replacement. Netflix has promoted current Fuller House executive producers Steve Baldikoski and Bryan Behar as the new showrunners. Both Baldikoski and Behar have served as executive producers on the show since its inception in 2016, with production on the fourth season slated to begin later this year, although an exact production start date and Season 4 premiere date have yet to be revealed.

Jeff Franklin was fired last month after allegations surfaced against him for his inappropriate behavior on set and in the writers' room. The former showrunner was accused of being verbally abusive to staff members while also making sexually charged comments about his own sex life and personal relationships. Others complained that he would often bring women he was dating to the set and given them small roles on the show. Warner Bros. Television recently launched an investigation into his behavior heading into Season 4, which lead to his firing, and the studio terminating their overall deal with the writer-producer.

The report from last month about Franklin's firing also revealed that Warner Bros. Television received an anonymous letter about Jeff Franklin's behavior two years ago, claiming that he was a "walking lawsuit just waiting to happen." There is no word yet on if the studio investigated the showrunner's behavior then, when they first received the letter, but they did launch an investigation more recently when new complaints arose. Series star Candace Cameron Bure recently responded to Jeff Franklin's firing, stating that Franklin is a great friend and showrunner, while also stating that, "the show must go on," without directly addressing the allegations.

Cameron Bure also indicated in her interview that production should start, "pretty soon," hinting that the new season should launch on Netflix by the end of this year. Cameron Bure will be returning alongside fellow cast mates Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie Tanner), Andrea Barber (Kimmy Gibbler), Bob Saget (Danny Tanner), Dave Coulier (Joey Gladstone), John Stamos (Jesse Katsopolis), Lori Loughlin (Becky Katsopolis), Juan Pablo Di Pace (Fernando), Soni Nicole Bringas (Ramona Gibbler), Michael Campion (Jackson Fuller), Elias Harger (Max Fuller), Scott Weinger (Steve Hale), John Brotherton (Dr. Matt Harmon) and Adam Hagenbuch (Jimmy Gibbler). No details have been revealed about any potential new cast members at this time.

Steve Baldikoski and Bryan Behar are veteran writer/producers, who both got their start writing for and serving as story editors on Teen Angel and Ned and Stacey in 1997. They would go on to write and produce for Andy Richter Controls the Universe, I'm With Her, 8 Simple Rules, The New Adventures of Old Christine, True Jackson, VP, Glenn Martin DDS, Wilfred, Last Man Standing, Save Me, Kristie and Jennifer Falls. Deadline broke the news of these new showrunners earlier today. If production is to start in just a few months, hopefully we'll have new story and casting details soon.
