Earlier this season on The Flash, fans got their first look at the nefarious King Shark in the episode The Fury of Firestorm. We learned last month that this massive villain will return in a new Arrow crossover episode, which will feature Diggle (David Ramsey) and his wife Lyla (Audrey Marie Anderson) as they head to Central City. The episode, appropriately titled King Shark, airs tonight at 8 PM ET on The CW, and to get fans ready, the network has released a new trailer, poster and photo which gives us a new look at King Shark.

King Shark is actually the henchman of this season's big bad, the super villain Zoom (Tony Todd), who came from Earth-2. Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg had said in the past that it would be too expensive to do a full King Shark episode, and many fans thought he wouldn't be back on the show, but that is not the case. This episode will center on King Shark escaping from an A.R.G.U.S. holding tank, with Diggle and Lyla coming to Central City to warn Barry that King Shark has escaped. This nefarious villain will attack Joe West (Jesse L. Martin), Iris West (Candice Patton), Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) and Barry at the West family home.

The trailer features some familiar music, with a different version of the iconic Jaws theme, and the title card itself is even a parody of Jaws. The always quick-witted Cisco (Carlos Valdes) ends the trailer with yet another playful jab at Steven Spielberg's 1975 classic, teasing "We're gonna need a bigger Flash." We'll have to wait and see if Team Flash can contain this menacing metahuman for good later on tonight.

King Shark is just one of a slew of new characters who have debuted on the show this season. Others include Michael Ironside playing Lewis Snart, Shantel VanSanten as Patty Spivot, Violett Beane as Jesse Quick, Demore Barnes as Henry Hewitt and Adam Copeland, a.k.a former WWE Superstar Edge as Atom Smasher. Gorilla Grodd also returned in Gorilla Warfare, but it isn't known if he will be return in the back half of this season.

King Shark debuted in the pages of Superboy way back in 1994, and ever since, he has accumulated a strong cult following. Some believe King Shark to be a mystical shark god. Others believe he is a mutant freak of nature. What do you think we'll learn about this mysterious character in tonight's episode of The Flash? Check out the trailer, poster and photo below, and stay tuned for more on The Flash as its second season continues.
