Even casual fans of Arrow and The Flash know that both shows feature plenty of elements that crossover from series to the other. Last month, the casts of both shows united for an epic two-night crossover event that tied into the upcoming series DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Today we have a new report from ComicBook.com that reveals that Arrow stars David Ramsey (Diggle) and his on-screen wife Audrey Marie Anderson (Lyla) will be crossing over to The Flash, to help Team Flash battle King Shark.

The one-night crossover will take place during the 15th episode of The Flash Season 2, which doesn't have an exact air date at this time. David Ramsey himself teased the crossover earlier this week with a cryptic Instagram photo, where he was pictured outside The Flash writers room. Here's what executive producer Andrew Kreisberg had to say about why Diggle and Lyla will be heading to Central City.

"The Diggles arrive in Central City to help Barry take on King Shark who has escaped from ARGUS and is hellbent on completing his mission of destroying The Flash."

King Shark first appeared earlier this season in The Flash episode Fury of Firestorm, the iconic DC Comics' character's first ever live-action appearance in either movies or TV. King Shark is actually the henchman of this season's big bad, the super villain Zoom (Tony Todd), who came from Earth. The executive producer had said in the past that it would be too expensive to do a full King Shark episode, and many fans thought he wouldn't be back on the show, but that is not the case.

It makes sense that both Diggle and Lyla would be brought in to help take down King Shark, given Lyla's connections at ARGUS, and the fact that Diggle has also handled numerous other super-powered threats in the past. Since King Shark's first appearance was essentially a glorified cameo last year, it seems that fans will be seeing much more of this humanioid creature later this year. While we wait for more details on the latest Arrow/The Flash crossover, take a look at David Ramsey's Instagram photo from earlier this week.
