According to The Hollywood Reporter, Elizabeth Perkins leaving her role in Weeds and will return to the big screen in Illumination Entertainment's and Universal's I Hop. This is a live-action/CG-animated comedy.

Perkins is quitting her five-year stint on the Showtime series. She has garnered three Emmy nominations for supporting actress as well as two Golden Globe nominations.

Tim Hill (Alvin and the Chipmunks) is directing I Hop. This film follows "an out-of-work slacker (James Marsden) who accidentally injures the son of the Easter Bunny (voiced by Russell Brand) and must take him in as he recovers."

Perkins is going to play Marsden's frustrated mother.
