As production continues on Netflix's The Defenders, new set photos have surfaced which feature Daredevil (Charlie Cox) and Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) taking a winter stroll. No story details can be gleaned from these photos, except that at least a portion of this season will be set in the winter months. The streaming service still hasn't revealed when the show may debut yet, but the fourth and final of the Marvel Netflix stand alone TV shows, Iron Fist, is set to make its debut on March 17, with The Defenders expected to debut later this year.

The Defenders stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage and Finn Jones as Danny Rand/Iron Fist. In addition, Elden Henson will be reprising as Foggy Nelson along with Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Eka Darville as Malcolm, Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth, Scott Glenn as Stick, Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, Elodie Yung as Elektra, Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker, Simone Missick as Misty Knight, and Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple. It has been hinted that Jon Bernthal's The Punisher will return for the series as well, but that remains unconfirmed. These new set photos surfaced on Twitter, although it remains to be seen how much filming is left on The Defenders.

Earlier set photos from The Defenders featured both Daredevil and Jessica Jones together, while others have featured Luke Cage reuniting with Night Nurse (Rosario Dawson). Other characters confirmed to return are Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), Stick (Scott Glenn), Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor), Misty Knight (Simone Missick), Jerilyn Hogarth (Carrie-Anne Moss) and Malcolm Ducasse (Eka Darville). Douglas Petrie and Marco Ramirez, who previously served as Daredevil showrunners, have come aboard to serve as The Defenders showrunners. They will also serve as executive producers with Drew Goddard and Jeph Loeb.

While Marvel and Netflix haven't confirmed a premiere date for The Defenders yet, this series has been confirmed to arrive before new seasons of Daredevil and Jessica Jones. After The Defenders debuts at some point next year, fans will be treated to Daredevil Season 3, Jessica Jones Season 2 and The Punisher spin-off, which is currently in production. It hasn't been confirmed if The Punisher will be seen in The Defenders or not, especially since both shows are currently in production. Netflix hasn't issued a premiere date for The Punisher series yet either, but that announcement will likely come later this year, perhaps in tandem with The Defenders premiere date.

Last month, it was confirmed that Sigourney Weaver's villainous character is named Alexandra, with showrunner Marco Ramirez revealing her character is a "powerful force" in the series. Unfortunately, that's roughly all we know about her character, and it isn't clear if she is based on a character from the Marvel comics, or if she was created specifically for this series. Hopefully we'll get to see more set photos before production wraps. While we wait for more on The Defenders, take a look at these new set photos below.
