Back in July, we reported that members of hit boy bands Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC are teaming up for a new horror movie entitled Dead 7. The movie is being produced by The Asylum, the same company that gave us the Sharknado franchise, which has been a ratings hit on Syfy. Today we have the first trailer from this upcoming movie, courtesy of BuzzFeed, which confirms that this will by Syfy's next original movie, set to premiere Friday, April 1 at 8 PM ET.

Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter not only stars in this zombie thriller, but he also co-wrote the script with Sawyer Perry. The story centers on a "ragtag group of gunslingers" who join forces to stop a zombie invasion in the Old West. Nick Carter revealed last summer that he is going to be "a good guy that helps save the day," while teasing that it will be "musically based."

Backstreet Boys' Howie Dorough and A.J. McLean also star along with *NSYNC's Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick. The cast is rounded out by Carrie Keagan, Debra Wilson, Dylan Vox, Gerardo Mejía and Chloe Lattanzi. The movie also features plenty of other musicians, such as Everclear lead singer Art Alexakis, Frenchie Davis, Jon Secada, 98 Degrees' Jeff Timons, All-4-One's Delious and No Authority's Tommy McCarthy.

Danny Roew (Shotgun Wedding) directs from the script by Nick Carter and Sawyer Perry. David Michael Latt and David Rimawi, who produced the original Sharknado and Syfy's Z Nation, serve as producers. With this cast of beloved 90s musicians, and the Sharknado producers behind the camera, Dead 7 could be the next big ratings hit for Syfy.

In addition to the trailer, we also have the first poster and new photos for Dead 7. Are you ready to see boy band members and other musicians take on zombies in the Old West next month? Could this be the start of a prosperous filmmaking career for Nick Carter? We'll find out next month, but until then, take a look at the first footage and photos below.
