While fans won't get to see The CW's latest superhero spinoff DC's Legends of Tomorrow until early next year, the show is starting to come together on the creative side, with Phil Klemmer signing on to serve as executive producer and showrunner. Phil Klemmer will work alongside executive producers Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, Marc Guggenheim and Sarah Schechter. This series will mark the fourth time he has worked on one of Greg Berlanti's shows, following Political Animals, Golden Boy and The Tomorrow People.

DC's Legends of Tomorrow brings together characters from CW's hit shows Arrow and The Flash, along with several new heroes and villains that originated in the DC Comics. Arrow's Brandon Routh (Atom), Caity Lotz (White Canary) and The Flash's Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein), Wentworth Miller (Captain Cold) and Dominic Purcell (Heat Wave) will be joined by Arthur Darvill (Rip Hunter), Ciara Renee (Hawkgirl) and Franz Drameh (Jay Jackson). The series follows the time traveling Rip Hunter, who assembles all of the aforementioned characters together to stop a new threat, with the fate of the planet and all of time itself at stake.

It's worth noting that Phil Klemmer wrote the pilot episode for The Tomorrow People and served as show runner. The series starred Robbie Amell, who now stars on The Flash as Ronnie Raymond, the other half of Firestorm alongside Victor Garber's Dr. Martin Stein. Ronnie Raymond hasn't been confirmed for this spinoff yet, but Phil Klemmer's presence could be cause for a reunion of sorts. DC's Legends of Tomorrow will have a presence at San Diego Comic-Con in a few weeks, so we'll surely learn much more about the series then, and hopefully get a new trailer as well. Phil Klemmer's other TV credits include writing and producing for Veronica Mars, Undercovers, Chuck and Forever.
