While we still have many months left until DC's Legends of Tomorrow debuts this spring on The CW, the cast continues to fill out. TV Line reports that Mr. Robot actress Stephanie Corneliussen has signed on to play the DC Comics character Valentina Vostok, a.k.a. Negative Woman. While it isn't known exactly when she will make her debut on the superhero series, the actress will have a multi-episode arc.

Valentina Vostok was created by Paul Kupperberg and Jim Aparo, debuting in Showcase #94 which hit the shelves in August 1977. In the comics, Valentina was a Russian Air Force pilot who stole an experimental Russian plane so she could defect to the United States. During her flight, the plane malfunctioned and she crash landed in the same spot that the Doom Patrol had died, causing her to be fused with the energy of Negative Man, turning her into Negative Woman. It isn't known if this same back story will be used on DC's Legends of Tomorrow.

The character is described as a, "gifted and beautiful Soviet physicist" who will do whatever it takes to defend her home country. The Legends first meet her at the height of the Cold War, suspecting her of working with Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) on a secret weapon. Atom (Brandon Routh) and Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) go on a mission to win over her affections before she can complete this project, that could have a devastating impact on the Cold War.

DC's Legends of Tomorrow also stars Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, Franz Drameh as Jay Jackson, Victor Garber as Dr. Martin Stein, Caity Lotz as White Canary, Dominic Purcell as Heat Wave and Falk Hentschel as Hawkman. Both White Canary and Hawkman will appear in episodes of both Arrow and The Flash in the first halves of their respective seasons, before starring in DC's Legends of Tomorrow. It isn't clear how many other DC characters will be announced before the series debuts.

Stephanie Corneliussen portrayed Joanna Wellick, a fan-favorite character in the first season of USA Network's breakout hit series Mr. Robot. She has also had guest-starring turns on The Exes, Bad Judge and Royal Pains. Are you looking forward to seeing Victoria Vostok on action on DC's Legends of Tomorrow next spring? The CW hasn't announced exactly when the series will debut yet, so stay tuned for more details.
