Variety reports that David Krumholtz (Numb3ers) has been given the lead role in Fox's new comedy pilot about the I.R.S.

Krumholtz will be playing "Spencer." The untitled show is being produced by Ron Howard, Imagine TV and 20th Century Fox TV. The show is based on an idea by Howard.

Krumholtz will play an I.R.S. agent who tries to find nobility in his work. The show as written by Brent Forrester (The Office).

Krumholtz is also known for such shows as The Closer as well as movies like Superbad.
