Exactly two months from today, Marvel's Daredevil will return, with Season 2 of the hit series streaming in its entirety on Netflix starting Friday, March 18. This season will introduce two very important characters, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, a.k.a. Punisher, and Elodie Yung as Elektra Nachios. It has previously been confirmed that Elektra will be Matt Murdock's (Charlie Cox) new love interest this season, but executive producer Jeph Loeb shed some new light on this burgeoning relationship in an interview with Comic Book Movie.

"I think one of the things that's dynamic about Elodie's performance is that you never quite know if Elektra's telling you the truth. Matt, who has this sort of ability to be a human lie detector, because he's emotionally attached to her, it skews his ability to be able to know whether or not she's telling the truth or he's being manipulated, or is she actually not manipulating him? That kind of interaction, and I think the natural emotion that was going on between Charlie and Elodie that we captured on film, added a great deal of spark to it. Particularly, given that Karen Page is an equally strong and independent woman who has her own story that's going on throughout the series. As you will watch it unfold, you get very caught up in the push and pull of Matt Murdock's life."

What isn't known quite yet is if the streaming service will plan on spinning off Elektra into her own show. Netflix announced over the weekend that they are developing a Punisher spinoff series for Jon Bernthal, but since Elektra is so closely attached to Matt Murdock, it's possible that she will be kept on the main series. That may all depend on how fans react to this character when the new season kicks off in mid-March.

The Netflix original series Marvel's Daredevil returns with the highly anticipated second season of its epic live-action adventure series (Marvel's Daredevil Season 1 is now streaming). The second season debuts amidst the release of the Netflix original Marvel's Jessica Jones, the upcoming Marvel's Luke Cage and future release of Marvel's Iron Fist, all leading up to the teaming of the main characters in The Defenders to premiere only on Netflix. The action-drama will premiere with thirteen (13) one-hour episodes.

Blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) fights against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the superhero Daredevil in modern day Hell's Kitchen, New York City. Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock/Daredevil) is joined by a stellar cast. The rest of this ensemble includes Jon Bernthal (Frank Castle), Elodie Yung (Elektra), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple),  and Scott Glenn (Stick).
