Earlier today, photos from Season 2 of Marvel's Daredevil gave fans new looks at iconic characters Elektra (Elodie Yung) and Punisher (Jon Bernthal), along with Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll). Now Netflix has released even more photos, which give us a better look at all of these aforementioned characters, plus Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) and a glimpse at Daredevil's new costume. Hopefully we'll get to see a new trailer soon before this upcoming season debuts sometime next year.

Elektra and Punisher will be joined in Daredevil Season 2 by returning stars Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple, a.k.a. Night Nurse, and Scott Glenn as Stick. We also reported in November that Sonia Braga has signed on to star in Marvel's Luke Cage as Claire Temple's mother, but it isn't known if this character will also surface in Season 2 of Marvel's Daredevil. Netflix hasn't announced when the new season will debut quite yet, but hopefully we'll find out more soon. Entertainment Weekly also spoke to Daredevil showrunner Douglas Petrie, who reveals that Elektra will become Matt Murdock's girlfriend.

"Matt's a deeply moral complicated guy and she's just the best bad girlfriend you can possibly have. She does everything wrong and attractive, she's his id, the wild side. Matt is always taming his wild side. Elektra just lets it out. He's both repulsed and deeply drawn to that."

Back in November, a brief teaser for this upcoming season debuted, hinting that Luke Cage (Mike Colter) may surface this season before starring in Marvel's Luke Cage, slated to debut sometime this year. The sneak peek showed Matt Murdock's local bar, Josie's, has changed to Luke's, suggesting that Luke Cage may be taking over the Hell's Kitchen bar. Throughout the first season, Matt and his law partner Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) would frequent Josie's, along with Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll).

Rosario Dawson signed a new deal with Netflix in May that also allowed her to appear in Marvel's A.K.A. Jessica Jones, which debuted in November, and Marvel's Luke Cage. It isn't known if she will show up in Marvel's Iron Fist and The Defenders, a mini-series event uniting key characters from the previous series. It's possible that her character could be responsible for bringing all of The Defenders together, but that's only speculation at this point.

While we wait for Netflix to announce the premiere date for Marvel's Daredevil, take a look at these photos below from Marvel's Daredevil. Hopefully we'll have official word from Netflix soon about when this highly-anticipated season will debut, so stay tuned for more on this beloved series. Do you think Elektra and Punisher will make good additions to this hit series?
