HBO has dropped a new teaser for Curb Your Enthusiasm season 10. Larry David is back for the first time since 2017 in the latest promo for these upcoming episodes, and it is set to test everyone's patience. David shocked fans when he returned to the show in 2017 after a six-year hiatus with a season which was on par with some of the best the long-running show has ever delivered. So to say that anticipation is high for season 10 would be a massive understatement. HBO clearly knows this and so does David.

While the first teaser for Curb Your Enthusiasm season 10 does not reveal any footage from the episodes, it prominently features Larry David against a white backdrop as he waits for his toast to finish. He wanders around the toaster, he taps on it, he places his face over it, and he waves his hand over it. David clearly cannot wait for his toast to be done and finally begins, in typical David fashion, to jar the toaster in an effort to make the toasted bread pop out.

Larry David never gets his toast, as he ends up walking away in disgust. However, the Curb Your Enthusiasm song begins and his toast pops up right on beat, after he has walked out of frame. Like much of anything having to do with the long-running HBO series and Seinfeld, waiting for toast is one of those mundane things that everybody can relate to, but only something David can turn into an excruciating game. It also works as a perfect metaphor as fans have been practically doing the same thing having to wait for season 10.

"We can't wait either," says the network after the toast pops up.

Curb Your Enthusiasm season 10 premieres in January, but no official release date has been announced as of this writing. Wikipedia has a date of January 19th posted, but HBO has yet to confirm this. It is also unclear what the new season will be about. However, it will sadly be the first season without Bob Einstein, who played David's love-hate friend Marty Funkhouser on the series. Einstein died in January 2019. Season 9 saw Larry David as he incurs a fatwa from the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, after lampooning the Ayatollahs while appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in promotion of his latest, long-awaited project, a comedy musical called Fatwa!, centered on The Satanic Verses controversy, in which Ayatollah Khomeini ordered a fatwa against Salman Rushdie in 1989.

Curb Your Enthusiasm season 9 was a hit amongst fans and there is a lot to be excited for in new episodes. Season nine brought back series favorites J.B. Smoove as Leon Black, Jeff Garlin as Jeff Greene, Susie Essman as Susie Greene, J.B. Smoove as Leon Black, Cheryl Hines as Cheryl David, Richard Lewis, Bob Einstein, Ted Danson, and Mary Steenburgen.
