British actress Charity Wakefield has joined the NBC pilot Mockingbird Lane, which is a reboot of the 1960s monster series The Munsters.

The actress will play Marilyn, Lily's niece and the only member of the Munster family who isn't some sort of monster. It is said she gets along well with most of her family members, except for Grandpa Munster, who we reported last week will be played by Eddie Izzard. Marilyn was portrayed by Pat Priest in The Munsters, which ran from 1964 to 1966.

Pushing Daisies creator Bryan Fuller wrote the pilot script and will executive produce the Mockingbird Lane pilot, which will be directed and executive produced by Bryan Singer. We reported in February that the title was changed to Mockingbird Lane because this new version is a darker one-hour drama, as opposed to the comedic original series.

It isn't known when production will start on Mockingbird Lane.
