CBS is moving forward with a modern take on one of its most beloved series. According to The Hollywood Reporter, CBS has given the green light for a new version of Hawaii Five-O.

The new version of the series, which ran from 1968 to 1980 on CBS, comes from Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman and CSI: NY executive producer Peter Lenkov. All three came up with the story idea and Lenkov wrote the pilot under Orci and Kurtzman's supervision. All three will executive produce the pilot.

Orci and Kurtzman co-created the Fox hit series Fringe and wrote the summer blockbuster Star Trek. No production schedule or casting information was released.
