Actress Catherine Keener is reuniting with screenwriter Charlie Kaufman for a new untitled comedy series at HBO.

The project landed at HBO after a competitive situation with other suitors, and the network is currently fast-tracking its development. The story will center on one day in the life of a woman (Catherine Keener), and how the events leading up to that 24-hour period can effect her reality. If the show gets ordered to series, it will mark the actress' first regular TV gig.

Catherine Keener received an Oscar nomination for her role in the Charlie Kaufman-scripted Being John Malkovich. She also starred in the writer's directorial debut, Synecdoche, New York, and appears in his next film, Frank or Francis.

Charlie Kaufman wrote the script and will direct the pilot episode of the series. He will also executive produce, while Catherine Keener will pull double duty as both the star and a producer.
