After Warner Bros. finally confirmed the Batman solo movie at CinemaCon, with Ben Affleck attached to direct and star, we've heard plenty of rumors but very few official details about this upcoming project. During the Goldman Sachs Communacopia this weekend, Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes announced that this movie is a "year and a half" out, which could mean it will hit theaters sometime in the spring of 2018. It's also possible that he means production will start in a year and a half, though his comments are unclear.

The Suicide SquadCast, via ComicBook.com, obtained audio from the Goldman Sachs Communacopia, where the CEO states that Ben Affleck's rebooting of Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was a "big success." The Time Warner executive casually revealed when this Batman movie is coming, without offering a specific release date. Here's what he had to say.

"The reboot of Batman with Ben Affleck was a big success. He's going to be EP on Justice League and that's helpful to that team. Ben announced a Batman movie [that] he's going to direct, star, write for - I think it's a year and a half out. So, the strategy worked."

Many have assumed that this Batman reboot will take one of two DC movie release dates announced by Warner Bros. in April, October 5, 2018 and November 1, 2019. If Jeff Bewkes' brief statement has any truth to it, then both of these previously-announced dates are months past the time frame he stated during his interview. It's possible that The Batman could be taking The Flash release date, which actually does align with these comments, with that movie currently scheduled to hit in March 2018. Perhaps the standalone Flash movie will be bumped to October?

When asked about the state of the DCEU, along with reports that Warner Bros. has grown worried about their slate, due to the underwhelming grosses and negative reviews, Jeff Bewkes had this to say.

"The execution did deliver [on] what we wanted to do. We can do a little bit better on the creative. What you shouldn't take away is that you should be worried about this. We're actually more optimistic about this than we were when we tried to do it."

It was recently confirmed that Deathstroke is going to be the main villain of this currently untitled project, with Joe Manganiello coming aboard to portray this iconic villain. There have been reports that this Batman Reboot will open with a massive prison break at Arkham Asylum, but that report and other story details have yet to be confirmed. There have been reports that this movie will feature a number of iconic Batman villains, but no specific characters have been confirmed except for Deathstroke.
