Starz's Ash Vs. Evil Dead is coming off a rousing Comic-Con panel, where the cast and producers debuted the first trailer, and announced that the upcoming series will debut Saturday, October 31 at 9 PM ET/PT. Stars Bruce Campbell, Lucy Lawless, executive producer Sam Raimi and showrunner Craig DiGregorio all appeared at a panel for the TCA press tour earlier today, where it was revealed that the show may actually tie into more movies. The series is set years after the original movies The Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn and Army Of Darkness, with Bruce Campbell claiming that fans will be clamoring for even more carnage after the series airs this year.

"This series will force us to make more movies. That's only 10 hours of programming; we need eight more movies. Making a fourth movie would work. No matter what we give them, it will never be enough."

Bruce Campbell will be reprising his role as Ash, the stock boy, aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead.  When a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, Ash is finally forced to face his demons -personal and literal.  Destiny, it turns out, has no plans to release the unlikely hero from its "Evil" grip.

The cast is led by Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead, Burn Notice) in the role of Ash Williams, Lucy Lawless (Salem, Spartacus) as Ruby a mysterious figure who believes Ash is the cause of the Evil outbreaks, Ray Santiago (Touch, Meet the Fockers) as Pablo Simon Bolivar, an idealistic immigrant who becomes Ash's loyal sidekick, Dana DeLorenzo (A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas) as Kelly Maxwell, a moody wild child trying to outrun her past and Jill Marie Jones (Sleepy Hollow) as Amanda Fisher, a disgraced Michigan State Trooper set to find our anti-hero Ash and prove his responsibility in the grisly murder of her partner.

Bruce Campbell revealed back in February that there is a five-season plan in place for Ash Vs. Evil Dead, but that, of course, depends on how fans react to the 10-episode first season when it debuts on Halloween. The actor once again teased this five-season plan, stating that, "Now seasons two through five will be much easier because we all know each other," referring to the addition of Lucy Lawless and Craig DiGregorio. There is also a mysterious connection between the show and the Evil Dead movies that has not been revealed yet.

Sam Raimi directed the first episode of Ash Vs. Evil Dead that he wrote with Ivan Raimi (Darkman, Army of Darkness, Drag Me to Hell), and Tom Spezialy (Chuck, Reaper, Desperate Housewives). Raimi also serves as executive producer, with Rob Tapert (Evil Dead, Spartacus, Xena: Warrior Princess) and Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead, Burn Notice) along with Craig DiGregorio ("Workaholics," "Chuck") who serves as executive producer/showrunner. Are you looking forward to more movies featuring Ash Williams after Ash Vs. Evil Dead hits the airwaves this fall?
