Earlier this month, Starz confirmed they are bringing their hit series Ash Vs. Evil Dead back to Comic-Con, with a panel presentation on Saturday, July 23 from 6:45 PM to 7:45 PM in Room 6A. Stars Bruce Campbell, Lucy Lawless, Dana DeLorenzo, Ray Santiago and Lee Majors will be joined by producers Rob Tapert, Ted Raimi and Sam Raimi for the panel, and there will also be a special screening that night in Room 6A at 10 PM where fans can get an early look at the first Season 2 episode. As it turns out, though, the trailer Starz was set to show at SDCC was banned for being "too gory."

Since the trailer can no longer debut at SDCC, Starz turned to rapper/actor Kid Cudi, longtime fan of the franchise, to debut this blood-soaked footage said to be "too gory" for Comic-Con on Twitter. We don't know if SDCC will also stop the Ash vs. Evil Dead screening at 10 PM later that night, so we'll have to wait and see. Here's what Kid Cudi had to say about how Starz approached him to debut this latest sneak peek.

"Soo my new favorite show on TV, @AshvsEvilDead and the awesome folks at Starz, have asked a fanboy to help them out w something special. As a huge OG Evil Dead head, I am honored to debut the world premiere trailer for @AshvsEvilDead Season 2!! Too Gory 4 @Comic_Con. In all its glory and bloody gory deliciousness too raw for Comic-Con. Ash vs. Evil Dead Season 2....you're welcome!"

The highly anticipated 10-episode second season of the half-hour series Ash Vs. Evil Dead is executive produced by Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert, Bruce Campbell, Ivan Raimi, and Craig DiGregorio, who serves as executive producer and showrunner. The second season roars back into action with Ash leaving his beloved Jacksonville and returning to his hometown of Elk Grove. There, he confronts Ruby. The former enemies have to form an uneasy alliance as Elk Grove soon becomes the nucleus of evil.

The cast is led by Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead, Burn Notice) in the role of Ash Williams and Lucy Lawless (Salem, Spartacus) as Ruby, who now possesses the powerful Necronomicon. Also starring is Ray Santiago (Touch, Meet the Fockers) as Pablo Simon Bolivar, Ash's loyal sidekick dealing with the trauma he suffered in the cabin, and Dana DeLorenzo (A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas) as Kelly Maxwell, who, grief-stricken after the death of her parents, plots revenge against The Evil Dead. Lee Majors, Ted Raimi and Michelle Hurd join the cast this season as Brock Williams, Ash's father, Chet Kaminski, Ash's childhood best friend, and Linda, Ash's high school love respectively.
