The CW released new photos from the upcoming sixth episode of Arrow Season 5, entitled "So It Begins," airing Wednesday, November 9 at 8 PM ET on The CW. These images give us our first look at one of the show's new casting additions, Dolph Lundgren, who was announced at The CW's TCA summer tour as a villain during the show's Russian flashbacks. We also have new details about this villainous character from executive producer Marc Guggenheim.

Earlier this season, Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) travelled to Russia and joined the Bratva, for the sole reason of taking down Dolph Lundgren's character, Konstantin Kovar. Entertainment Weekly recently spoke with Marc Guggenheim about Dolph Lundgren's character, who works for the Russian government and ends up interrogating Oliver in their first meeting. Here's what executive producer Marc Guggenheim had to say below.

"Kovar is very much a villain certainly in the Arrow vein, which is to say he's pretty badass, he's pretty evil, but he, of course, does not think of himself as such. He thinks of himself as doing the right thing, which, in that sense, makes him very similar to a lot of the villains that we've had in the past. What is interesting about Kovar is he has a mix of intelligence and physical presence that we haven't necessarily seen. He's physically bigger than a lot of our villains that we've had in the past."

This episode also follows Team Arrow's quest to bring down the new villain Prometheus. When Prometheus ups his killing spree, Oliver (Stephen Amell) searches for connections between the victims. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and Curtis (Echo Kellum) discover the victims have a mysterious link to Oliver's past and this new secret could upend his new team. Meanwhile, Thea (Willa Holland) has a heart-to-heart with Lance (Paul Blackthorne), and Felicity considers telling Malone (guest star Tyler Ritter) the truth about her work.

Other new characters surfacing this season include Chad Coleman as Tobias Church, Rick Gonzalez as Wild Dog and Josh Segarra's Vigilante. Madison McLaughlin will also return as a new version of Artemis, and former WWE wrestler Stardust is set to take on Oliver Queen. Take a look at these new photos from Arrow Season 5 below.
