Earlier today, we showed you a new photo from the set of Arrow, which gave us our first look at Rutina Wesley as Lady Cop. The CW has now released the first Season 4 trailer for fans to watch throughout the long holiday weekend. While the trailer is just two minutes long, it is jam-packed with our first look at a slew of new characters, including Season 4's main villain Damien Dahrk (Neal McDonough) and Matt Ryan, who returns from cancelation as John Constantine.

The footage starts off with a glimpse at Oliver Queen's (Stephen Amell) new domesticated life with Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards). The final moments of the Season 3 finale showed Oliver and Felicity leaving Starling City to start a new life, but it won't be long before they're called back. We also get a look at a sign near the city limits, which reveals Starling City has been changed to Star City in honor of Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh), who is believed to be dead. At the end of Season 3, Ray's office exploded, leaving his fate in the open. At least for the time being, Ray is considered deceased.

Of course, he'll surely come back to life at some point, since Ray Palmer is one of the main characters in The CW's spinoff DC's Legends of Tomorrow, debuting this spring. This trailer also gives us our first look at Diggle (David Ramsey) in action, wearing his new costume, as he tries to fight Star City's criminals alongside Black Canary (Katie Cassidy) and Thea Queen (Willa Holland). It is also revealed that this new crime-fighting team can't handle these criminals on their own, and they need the Green Arrow to return.

As for Matt Ryan's John Constantine, we only get a brief look at him, as he puts out a cigarette, but we do get a much longer look at the season's main villain, Damien Dahrk (Neal McDonough). This nefarious character reveals he represents an organization that wants Star City to die, possibly so they can help build it back up again. We also get our first look at Echo Kellum as Mr. Terrific. But perhaps the most intriguing scene confirms that Caity Lotz's Sara Lance will be brought back to life through the Lazarus Pit.

The Arrow Season 4 premiere, entitled Green Arrow, debuts Wednesday, October 8 at 8 PM ET on The CW, one day after The Flash Season 2 arrives. There are still plenty of new characters who haven't been unveiled yet, so stay tuned throughout the month for more footage that will be released as we get closer to the season premiere. Until then, check out the first trailer for Arrow Season 4.
