Ryan Murphy has introduced us to the cast of American Horror Story: 1984. Murphy posted some short teaser videos on social media, giving fans a taste of what's to come and it looks deceivingly fun. DeRon Horton, Billie Lourd, Cody Fern, Leslie Grossman, Matthew Morrison, John Carroll Lynch, Zach Villa, Emma Roberts, Gus Kenworthy, and Angelica Ross are all featured in the fun videos, which are set to the hit 1984 single "I Can Dream About You" by Dan Hartman. Murphy is definitely going for historical accuracy in the pop music department.

Another element Ryan Murphy is getting right for American Horror Story: 1984 is the clothing of the mid-1980s. The men are in short shorts and belly shirts, while the women are in aerobic gear with big hair teasing. While everyone is having fun and smiling at the camera, darkness lurks below the surface. The Friday the 13th vibes are here, but they are only teased throughout the short videos. For the most part, it's some 80s fun with some NSFW elements thrown in for good measure.

It was recently revealed that American Horror Story star Sarah Paulson will not have a big part in the upcoming season. It is possible she might have a small cameo though. Paulson has been in every season of the hit show and always has a major part. American Horror Story: 1984 is going to deviate from that structure and fans are more than likely a little curious as to why this has changed after all of these years. It is believed her absence is due to her work on Ryan Murphy's show Ratched.

While it looks like American Horror Story: 1984 will be paying homage to the slasher classics of the 1980s, that has not been confirmed. Ryan Murphy has been known to throw some curveballs to keep fans off the scent of the real intent behind the show. FX has even gone as far as to release fake trailers for past seasons. Whatever the case may be, everybody seems to be enjoying themselves and fans can't wait for September to come around and deliver the latest season of the hit show.

American Horror Story: 1984 premieres September 18th, exclusively on FX. Hopefully Ryan Murphy and crew will do some more teasing like this. Even if it turns out to be fake, it's a lot of fun to see the actors having such a good time instead of the doom and gloom associated with the show. With that being said, there isn't anybody tuning into American Horror Story to see people laughing it up and having a great time, so enjoy this fun look while you can, because it's about to get dark really soon.
